Winter Wednesday

1. Giant, fluffy, delicious snowflakes this morning. Like walking around in a snow globe.

2. I made up a song about getting coffee today ("I need a caffeinated bev-ER-rage" to a metalesque beat) and my coworker Jeff laughed his head off. That's really all I'm looking for in a coworker - someone to laugh with (at) me when I'm acting like a buffoon.

3. Lost 2.5 pounds this week. Tracking works. Sure does.

Back to it, weekend edition

So delinquent. But I had a weekend full of great things, so I was inspired to get back to it.

1. 9 hours of sleep on Friday night. If you know me, that's practically unheard of. So nice to wake up on a Saturday morning feeling refreshed and full of "piss and vinegar" as my mom would say.

2. Went XC skiing with Rachelle, Carolyn and Cat on Saturday afternoon. The sun was shining, making the snow sparkle all around us. Beautiful, beautiful day spent in the company of gals I adore. Life is good.

2.1 There were some ladies in the parking lot as we were setting off on our ski who had locked their keys in their car! Oh noes! My incredibly kind friend Cat lent them her van to go get their extra keys! She didn't think it was a big deal, but I don't know that many people would be that trusting/generous. When we got back from skiing, the van was there, with a full tank of gas and some delicious chocolate for us to enjoy on the trip home. Karma, people. It's for real.

3. After a day of playing in a volleyball tournament, came home and just relaxed for the evening. Didn't have to go anywhere. Didn't have to do anything. Bliss!

New week, new attitude

1. After an awesome weekend away with my pal Gina, started the week in a much better head space than I finished last week in.

2. Coaching. I'm having so much fun with the Senior volleyball team. Such a great group of girls.

The weekend isn't over

1. Spent a good part of the day helping out at the Ontario Cyclocross Championships. Lots of fun and hot cyclist dudes in spandex.

2. Lazy evening catching up on the PVR. Love 30 Rock. Love that the new cast member is from Ottawa. Loved the part where Kenneth pulls out a pizza box full of waffles. Seriously, if you're not watching this show you're missing out.

3. Up late. Doesn't matter though cause I'm off tomorrow! Woot!

I'm back!

1. Three day weekend coming up. Have I mentioned how kick ass working at a school is?

2. Just got the Glee Soundtrack. I am an unabashed Gleek!

3. Booked my flight home for the holidays. Can't wait to spend some time with my Mom, Dad and Gramma. Adina and Mikki Lee too. It will be good to get away for a bit too.

Finally a win!

1. My mixed volleyball team finally won tonight. And this is going to sound petty, but a girl I really dislike was on the other team. Yeah!

2. I'm headed to Toronto tomorrow after work. Dropping off my old car to the new buyer and visiting with one of my fave gals Maida.

3. Facebook chat. A pal from Hali and I caught up this evening. So nice when someone just messages out of the blue.
